As we work towards a 1.0 release of the web
dashboard, we’ve been focused on closing the gap
between what you can do in Discord and what you can do on the web. This update
brings event creation to near-full parity, introduces event duplication,
and adds new tools for managing signup options — alongside many fixes and
performance improvements.
Duplicate events
For communities that run similar events on a regular basis, recreating them
from scratch each time is tedious. You can now duplicate existing events
to create a draft copy with everything carried over, ready for whatever
adjustments are needed before publishing.
On the dashboard, you’ll find a new “Duplicate” option inside the three-dot
menu on both the event list and event details pages. Within Discord,
there’s a new /duplicate command, as well as a duplicate option from
within the event edit flow. Event duplication is available with Apollo
Premium.
Closing the gap on event creation
The dashboard now supports the full range of event creation features you’re
used to in Discord: colours, images, restrictions, attendee roles, signup
cutoff times, and multi-select configuration. The only feature not yet
available on the dashboard is recurring events — that’s still on the roadmap.
We’ve also added support for editing events directly from the dashboard,
with all changes syncing back to Discord. You can click any field on the
event details page to edit it.
Manage your signup options
A new page on the dashboard gives you full control over your custom
signup options. You can create, edit, and delete them without switching
to Discord. For the first time, this also includes the ability to edit a
signup option’s emoji and label after it’s been created.
Signup options can now also be re-ordered during event creation, replacing
the old workaround of deleting and recreating them in the right order.
Wrapping up
We’ve also shipped many fixes and performance improvements behind the
scenes. Stay tuned for more as we move towards 1.0.
